Actually, the whole weekend has been filled with disasters. First I had to take my wedding ring in because one of the diamonds in my wedding band decided to break. So I was without my ring and feeling naked for four days. I did get it back in time for school to start today though, so that was good.
Sunday night about 11:30 I got a call from Keera. The store was flooded! A water main broke and a whole wing of the mall had flooded. I wasn't supposed to work on Monday and was ready to enjoy having the last day before school to spend totally and completely with Russell but I went in in the morning to help clean for a while. Come to find out today all the baseboards Diana and I cleaned ended up being pulled off the wall in order to be replaced. So much for that three hours! Our store is still a mess but at least we are open again.
And today at school was terrible. If I didn't have the threatening thought in my head of "what if something happens to Russell and you have to support your family" I would have withdrawn from all my classes and given up on school. My business classes have so much work, which I expected, but then I got to new testament and found out this crazy professor thinks we need to write like 18 papers during the course of the semester. I promptly dropped the class and signed up for one in the morning, hopefully it will be a little better. I didnt' get to eat lunch because the orchestra auditions took forever, come to find out even though "we love how you play and you've improved so much" they have 20 new majors and "we might not have room for you in the orchestra!" So then why did you admit 20 new majors that you didn't really have room for??????
Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.

Can't Wait for Fall
Congratulations to Russell for graduating! This is my favorite picture of the event (well, other than the one where we are kissing!)
I can't wait for fall to come for several reasons. I'd like a little bit cooler weather. I can't wait for there to be snow on the tops of the mountains. I'm not saying I want it to snow on the ground yet, just in the mountains. I can't wait for the leaves to change, I thought about it today and realized how much I love to walk or drive around and see all the pretty colors of the leaves. And.....although I'm not a huge fan of school, fall time brings school and I need a break from working 30 hours a week. A little school in the mix will help I think.

What A Crop
We had an employee crop last night at work. For the first time in months I feel like I'm back in my scrapbooking groove and I'm excited to do more. Now I just have to find the time!
I got a few things done last night, including the page above. I had a vision for this page a few weeks ago while laying in bed at 3am not being able to sleep. I tend to come up with great ideas at weird times. Anyway, I've been so excited to make my button bracket for this page for at least two weeks and it turned out great! The other half of the page has facts about our dating period like how many days before our first kiss, etc.
I also made a page celebrating our trip to Build-a-Bear with pictures of the Pirate bear I made Russell. Our store just got a ton of really cool pirate things so I couldn't resist. And finally I made a graduation card for Russell since he graduates on Friday, and a wall hanging out of a clear acrylic stamp block that has a wedding pictures and some really cute rubon's with the date we got married. You'll have to visit us to see it!
Anyway, I better get to work.

The Final Days
When I woke up this morning I felt like I had to hit the ground running, there are only 12 days before the wedding and all of the sudden it seems like there is a ton to do.
I've been packing and doing laundry this morning, we got the power set up to come on in our new place on Wednesday, reserved a U-Haul to get some stuff over there, and even signed up for medical insurance. I've gotten a lot done this morning despite what my room looks like.
Our manager and another employee quit so I'm working 37 hours this week. I'm grateful for the money that will come with that but it's going to be hectic. Keera did start training me on receiving last Saturday though and it's a lot of fun.
Russell and I had a good time playing games at Caleb and Holly's last night after Sunday dinner, and we managed to finish gluing together the thank you notes I have enough paper for so far. I have about 120 made, but I'm not sure how many I need. I would put a picture of them up but that would ruin the surprise when you get yours in the mail!
Better get back to packing and then I'm off to work!

Can't Wait
There's a few things I can't wait for these days. Here's a couple of them.
1. I finished a surprise for Russell today and I can't wait for him to see it!
2. I can't wait for Russell to be here so I can talk to him in person rather than over the phone. Neither of us like to talk on the phone so this long distance thing is getting rather old.
3. I can't wait to be married. Being engaged is a lot of fun, but I think being married will be even better!
4. I can't wait to have a house with my sweetheart. I can't wait to have only my husband as a roommate. Russell is very clean anyway, but at least when I clean it will be for someone I love rather than because I can't stand the mess my roommates haven't cleaned up in over two weeks!
5. I can't wait to be done with school....forever. It feels great to have the summer, but the dreaded thought of Core I classes for business keeps rolling from the back of my mind to the front.
6. I can't wait for an acceptance letter from the business school. Hopefully I get one, it will be very sad if I don't.
That's about it for now.

End of the Semester
I'm so glad it's the end of the semester, but I've decided I don't wish anyone to have to plan a wedding and take finals at the same time, it's too crazy!
Things have gone well though. I picked up my dress and announcements this week and they are amazing! I really have never seen an announcement I like better, although I guess I am a little bias to my own. Russ and I already have the announcements folded and stuffed. Now we just have address envelopes and put pictures in when we get to Houston.
I'm not sure how I'm going to get everything I need to take home with me in my luggage, it would help if I could shrink my dress magically and then have it pop back to life when I got there!
We went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point after we picked up our announcements. It was a little cold and rainy so we were like the only ones there but it was beautiful. We had a great time walking all around.
I'm off to work!

What a Stud
This is my favorite picture ever! I told Russ he can wear a tux everyday, I don't think he's going to go for it though. :(
Mom came up this weekend and while we were super busy we had a lot of fun and got a lot done. I bought a dress the first day she was here. Thursday we didn't get a lot done, but we looked at some announcements and flower girl dress ideas. Friday found announcements although I have to take the pink paper up to them so they can get started. We also figured out ties for the groomsmen and the rest of the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses. Saturday I went to Salt Lake with just Mom and bought a temple dress. We didn't have any luck finding one more matching tie, but we did eat at Marie Callendar's which was absolutely delicious. We also rented tux's for the wedding day and reception Saturday. He's going to have a vest with an actual design on it, not the one in the picture, but I love the picture!
