Life in General

I found a place to live for spring/summer. Actually, for fall/winter too. It's a private room, closer to the Tanner building, and on the first floor so I can have my piano there!

Turns out that the landlord is Russell's student. Russ went with me to see it, and as we were leaving Mark said: "so you mentioned you wanted a year contract, do you still want a year or have things changed?" LOL. Russ and I have been laughing about it for two days now.

I now have the coolest itunes in the world, thanks to Russ. He spent a couple hours yesterday finding all my album art for me.

Last night we were waiting for Rachel to come home so we could start watching Cars so I decided to play his piano. He has all sorts of great music like Disney and Star Wars! And....he sang along. It was interesting since I was sightreading and he didn't really know what he was doing, but we had a great time anyway! Too bad the time goes so quick and suddenly I have to go home.

I think I'm feeling better today, finally. I'm kind of afraid to say that out loud though because I might jinx it. I do hope everyone else is feeling better too though, it seems everyone in my family is sick!

Dating Adventures

What should I be doing right now.....probably homework, but I'll tell you about my fun times with Russell instead! This is definately not a play by play, just the highlights.

So...we had been on a few dates and last Monday he called and said he would pick me up at 8 and that I should decide what to do. I had been wanting to watch The American President all day and he hadn't seen it (crazy!) so I decided on that. We went to the creamery and got shakes and then settled in for the movie. A little ways into the movie we reached over and put his hand on my leg next to mine, and just a little later tapped my hand and said something to me. I didn't hear him and I responded with a graceful "huh?" LOL. He said not to worry about it, and two seconds later I realized that he said "Does that need holding!!!!" I ruined the moment and didn't know what to do! Luckily just a few minutes later he just picked up my hand and put it in his. Problem solved! I told everyone that story over the next two days and when I had a chance to talk to him again alone I told him. I really find it hilarious now that it's over, but at the time I didn't.

Wednesday night we cooked dinner for his friends and then played games. His friends are super fun and didn't mind letting me join the crowd. The next day when I met him for lunch he had just run into Larkin and told me that Larkin said it's obvious that I like him a lot! Obviously I can't hide it!

Saturday was fun, mostly because I was with him for all but about three hours of my day! We helped my boss move, made some pudding, watched an episode of Firefly (which was good, I judged it prematurely and was wrong), split up to do a little homework, and then went to a birthday party for him, Rachel, and Allyson. We played some DDR and Dutch Blitz, but I was out of practice so it definately wasn't my best, we had a good time though (we always do).

Hmmm....yesterday I sat next to this really cute boy in Sunday School, and then he came to dinner with me. It was great! We also played went to Laura and Dan's and played games and ate cobbler!

So far the only concerns seem to be that we have trouble holding hands while standing up because his hands aren't low enough to reach mine! And....he doesn't like potatoes which is just crazy to me!

Oh...he gave me a tour of where he worked and where his stake office is on Thursday after we went to Color Me Mine. I had never been on campus at night before and it was fun. We also cheated and went geocaching without the GPS!

My favorite thing is to wake up to an email from him though, that just makes the day wonderful!

Ugh...

I wanted to write a great post today about my adventures with Russell, but I woke up sick so it's not going to happen. Maybe soon though....hopefully.

I think I'm going to take a nap. Sweet dreams!

Triple Chocolate Cheesecake!

SURPRISE!!!! Yes, it was a great surprise.

It appears that Russell has a crazy talent of remembering everything I tell him, which included in passing that my favorite dessert is triple chocolate cheesecake from Marie Callendar's. I get to his place last night and he tells me to open the refridgerator and what do I find???? A whole one!!!! I can't believe he drove all the way up there and blew $30 on a cheesecake for our second date! But......I definately appreciate it and LOVED the surprise.

Double Eights

88!!!.....Take that Stice. Really, Dr. Stice is my favorite professor ever (well, at least at BYU) but he totally played up the test to be the worst thing in the world and it really wasn't.

Oh....and a piece of wisdom that I learned from him today. The real reason we have fingers is for counting the months with when making adjusting entries at the end of the year!

Now I'm off to study for BOM. Goodnight to all.

Everybody Wants a Clean Car

All I really wanted today (besides being able to get some homework done) was to wash my car. Will I be successful??? NO.

I have driven around Provo and every car wash that I know of has at least ten cars in the line. I don't have time to wait for ten cars to be washed before me!!!! Why does everyone want to wash their car on the one day that I have time to???

Oklahoma ends today and for that I am grateful. I will finally be back to the right schedule and be able to plan my time for studying, etc. Now I just need to be able to find the energy to actually study.
