So we had a great Thanksgiving in Angel Fire, New Mexico. It was super cold but it was fun to be with Russell's family.
Thanksgiving day we went on a walk and enjoyed the mountains, then played lots of games with the family. We even took a break to go cut down the Christmas tree and bring it inside. It was my first time to have that experience since I have always had a fake tree. Then of course we ate, and that was delicious. Rachel and I even made some name cards so everyone knew where to sit!
We spent the others days working at Aldura (my mother-in-law's store) and had a ton of fun both shopping and working!
Here are some pictures of our adventure!

It's Almost Halloween
So we are a little slow, but we're finally ready for Halloween around here. We ran out and bought candy on Saturday before there was no good candy left. Our attempt last week to go to the pumpkin patch for FHE died when the pumpkin patch decided to close at 6:30. Yesterday I felt terrible and slept all day so we didn't get a pumpkin. Finally today after work and school we managed to pick a pumpkin out at Albertson's and carve it. Here's some pictures. First the guts.
Russell's mean face.
My "Thunder Eyes"
Our finished product!

I Wish....
I wish that I didn't get screaming voice-mails from my brother.
I wish that my sister-in-law didn't hate me and try to be my best friend at the same time.
I wish that people wouldn't talk about me and my plans to others when they have no idea what the whole story is.
I wish that I could actually have a conversation with my sister-in-law....maybe. I guess since it would just end up with another screaming voice-mail it's probably not worth it.
I wish that people didn't put themselves in the middle of arguments.
I wish that my sister-in-law wouldn't outright ignore my attempts to talk to her about things that are wrong between us.
I wish that just once someone would take the blame for hurting my feelings and apologize rather than just yell that they didn't do anything wrong. It seems that I'm always the one apologizing even if I'm the one who got hurt.
I wish I didn't just have to "drop it"
I wish I knew what was actually behind the hatred.
But most of all.......I wish I still had a brother.

Blah, Blah,Blah
Not much is going on besides school and work. I did get to do some receiving this week at work which breaks up having to talk to customers all night or doing absolutely nothing when there are no customers.
The first round of midterms are out of the way, except for a grammar one for MCom. Surprisingly enough I actually find myself enjoying that class.
I have an interview with Sears on Wednesday for an internship this summer. It's full-time and paid so that's kind of exciting. The opportunity kinda just fell into my lap. We'll see how it goes.

Million Dollar Fries
Oh how I wish that my fries would be the ones with a million dollar instant win!
We went to McDonald's today for lunch to celebrate the beginning of McDonald's Monopoly. I looked at the menu and realized I needed to order large fries and drink to get more pieces, so I do, and then Russell proceeds to order a "large cheeseburger!" Haha. Interpreted that means a double cheeseburger completely plain. He really did just want more game pieces.
Oh how I love my husband.

A Flat Afternoon
So I've been sitting on our coach all afternoon working on my mounds of homework and for about two hours I've been serenaded by someone in the quad playing hymns on the flute. Now, I like the flute and I like hymns, the problem is the flute was extremely flat (as in out of tune, below the pitch). It's rather distracting and I think if I were able to find where they are playing, grab the flute from them, and twist it just a little everything would be okay and I would actually get something done. Since that is not polite though, I will sit here in musical agony and try to accomplish something.

Tired.....
I'm tired of studying New Testament, and my ISys teacher hasn't put up the powerpoint yet to study for the quiz. So here I am writing a post. I'm also very tired.....thank you Excedrin Migraine. Yeah sure, it makes the headache go away, most of the time, but the caffeine in it keeps you wide awake all night. As soon as it wears off though, I'm good for about a 24 hour nap. Too bad that's not possible with school.
We went to the Jon Schimdt concert at Thanksgiving Point Saturday night and it was amazing! I would go to a concert of his every night of the year. We'll probably buy tickets for the Christmas one too, but maybe I want to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra instead. I just can't decide really. Here's a picture of us there. And here's Jon playing upside down.
By the way, I just gave Russell a haircut again the Monday before this. It went wonderfully well this time. I think I might start charging him!
We close on our house in nine days and we can't wait. Now we just need to start packing. And packing, and packing, and packing. Yeah right, like there's time for that. We went to our new ward in Spanish Fork on Sunday, just for sacrament and it looks like it will be pretty good. The ward has a nice range of ages and even an "Old Lady Bench" in the back. There were like eight ladies in their 70's sitting together back there, which is fun. We could tell they were all best friends.
Anyway, I guess I should study so I can pass the New Testament test.
